520 Dance Collective

520 Dance Collective is a tax-exempt non-profit sister organization of 520 Dance Company, dedicated to enriching Southern Arizona through the transformative power of dance and the arts. Our mission is to educate and enrich by providing access to high-quality dance and artistic experiences.

Our Educational Outreach Programs are the heart of our non-profit's mission. Led by our Directors and trained, fingerprint-clearance certified, Company Assistants, this program brings high-quality dance and artistic education to institutions Tucson and the surrounding area- free of charge.

Dance and the arts have been limited in schools and other institutions. 520 Dance Collective aims to bring dance experiences to the community regardless of funding barriers.

In our pilot program conducted in 2022-2023, we worked with area high schools to bring our program to students. Through relationships with schools and other types of arts programs in the community, we tailor our outreach programming to the specific needs of each group, whether it's school-age children, seniors, or adults living with mental illness or disabilities. Our directors are experienced to guide programming appropriately.

Guided by the educational and therapeutic expertise of our Directors, 520’s outreach programs educate movers and enrich existing arts programs. Through experiences in the classroom and opportunities for performance, 520 Dance Collective inspires creativity, provides a platform for self-expression, and creates opportunities for people and audiences who would otherwise not have access to community dance experiences.

520 Dance Collective strives to create relationships with other artists by coordinating performances and hosting opportunities for artists.
